(aka Tolstoy) 1828-1910, Russian writer, widely regarded as one of the greatest authors of all time; born to an aristocratic Russian family, notable works are the realist fiction novels War and Peace (1869) & Anna Karenina (1877).  In the 1870s he suffered a moral crisis which led him to become a fervent Christian anarchist & pacifist.  He also became a dedicated advocate of Georgism (the economic philosophy of Henry George).
